Press Release: Bombyx PLM Shortlisted to the Finals for Hull and Humber Tech Awards’ ‘Tech Startup of the Year’ Award

Kingston Upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, 4th September 2019,  Bombyx PLM have been shortlisted to the finals ‘Tech Startup of the Year Award’ presented by Reach PLC’s Hull and Humber Tech Awards.

Bombyx PLM have been nominated and shortlisted for yet another award, this time presented to them by a regional body.

Hull and the Humber is not known for tech, but the recognition and awareness of the talent here, and the North in general is definitely growing.

There is a mass array of talent in the North, and the tech scene in Hull is certainly growing thanks to the likes of C4DI (Centre for Digital Innovation), in which Bombyx PLM’s HQ is placed.

“We’re honoured to be nominated. A lot of hard work from our whole team has gone into the inception and running of Bombyx PLM.

To be considered for ‘Startup of the Year’ is incredible, and we hope it encourages other people to follow their gut on going against the grain and creating something new, or changing and improving current ways in which people use or interact with products and technology.” – Lucy Blackley, Bombyx PLM

Bombyx PLM are partnering up and creating some very exciting projects that bring brands and academia together to improve on what is already available, include old and new business models, inform the industry at all levels, and inspire our innovators of tomorrow.

We’re enjoying working with the industry as a collective, we’re stronger together gathering expertise from all areas to strengthen the product design and manufacturing industry. This award nomination couldn’t have come at a better time as our mission is growing in momentum to make digitalisation of traditional industries the norm, and promoting inclusivity in all its forms to help ensure no brand or manufacturer is left behind in this digital age.

The awards event will be held on the 2nd of October 2019.
