It's the foundations, and the bare essentials to get brands started and streamlining with Bombyx PLM.

Product Archiving If your development/order is complete, or cancelled, you can store it away in your archive. This will separate your open developments/orders from those that are complete or cancelled, allowing you to find and focus on what you're currently working on.
Bill of Materials Add all the components that make up your product with their specifications clear, their quality/colour status' logged, and traffic lighting applied. Each component type has its own category.

We can build you bill of material sub-categories as you need them in order to develop and deliver your product.
Completion Indicator Keep track of your products lifecycle at a glance, and see through traffic lighting what hasn't started, what's approved, what's rejected, and what's pending.

Our completion indicator is configurable and will only show you the items you're wanting to use for that product, with a percentage bar of the accumulated approvals based on how many elements have been added to create your product.
Design/Detail Uploads Upload your design sheets to ensure your collaborators understand your vision. Whether you want to add an image with full blown annotations attached, or a simple image that is then annotated in the system afterwards. It doesn't matter, we cater for any way you want to apply details to your designs.
Data Duplication If you have a similar product to one you've previously created, don't start from scratch with its creation.

Select the duplicate icon of the previous product, add a new development/order, and select whether you'd like to take through your quality and colour approvals or not.

Upon following these two steps, get into the development and tweak the products elements that differ from the previous product, and you're good to go.
Component Grouping Groups allow you to reduce time in adding your products data.

If items are grouped, you can enter the name of the group within various areas of the product, and it will import all these items in together.

No more manually adding, one by one.
Product History Know every step of your products development with approvals, rejections, edits, if anything has been deleted, and more.

Don't lose time, or sight of the bigger picture, with instant searchable reference points to allow you to know what has happened, when, and who has actioned what.
Product Information If instructions or information is a requirement for your product, you or your collaborators are able to upload reference documentation or labelling for producing and applying to your finished product.

Bombyx gives you the ablility to add references for cross checking in the form of symbols, instructions, disclaimers, or a PDF document upload of the content.
Libraries Your libraries enable you to store components that make up your product, and import them into new or existing products when needed. The libraries available are:

Manuals/Documents Hub Keep internal and external manuals and documents within the platform to preview or download.

The manuals/documents hub also allows users that upload the referneces to share to specific collaborators if required.
SKU Sizing and Scaling Apply your measurements to your sample size and let the system do the rest of the work for you. Bombyx PLM will automatically apply the other sizing measurements to your product upon formulating your requirements when setting up the platform.

If you have standard product specifications, CAD files can be uploaded instead, giving your suppliers the exact measurements they need to manufacture your design.

Simply add the CAD file to its library and import it into your product with its specifications and scaling.
Notifications Be notified of approvals, rejections, and actions within the platform regardless of whether you're in that products space or not.

Notifications update users/collaborators on the products actions and progress to save you the time of checking manually.
Repeat Orders Had a killer of a product sell out? Want to re-order, try some new variations, or add some additional qualities/colours.

Keep it all in one organised cluster, for your reference when comparing against its primary, or additional orders.

Repeat Orders allows you to eliminate the manual efforts of re-creating the product by automatically copying over the data into its additional cluster entry, which you're able to then tweak and amend as you wish.
Sampling Submit commentary and imagery for your received samples to approving to production, or rejecting and requesting a resubmission.

Bombyx PLM allows you to enter comments for your sample, review, check, and update measurements based on your comments, upload imagery, notify your suppliers of your next step requirements, as well as letting you both know which components qualities/colours haven't been approved, and are still outstanding.
Supplier Overview Adding supplier details to the supplier overview allows users to allocate them to products and components to further communicate the product and component lifecycles.

Listing suppliers ensures everyone is on the same page with information being transparent and available to everyone collaborating on the development/order.
Templates Specification and Purchase Order Templates enables users to react quickly to standardised size scales, and the raising of orders.

Creating your templates allows you to import the layouts and information, so you don't have to re-create the same data manually every time you develop a product and progress to to an order.
Terminology Masters We speak your language. It's hard enough with the multiple variations of lingo, without coming onto a platform that doesn't talk your talk. Ensure your collaborators understand what you're communicating by using terminology that is known by your industry.
Testing Requirements Reduce the possibility of product returns due to products failing upon consumption.

List your testing requirements for your products order, and have your suppliers submit bulk quality samples for testing, sending back a report with the results to cross check, and approve, or reject and resubmit.
